calatrava...

....toronto..not known in any circles for its architectural beauty does actually have some pretty cool buildings in some areas..when you search for it

..BCE place in the financial district (right) - for those of you work there and surely never think about who built this crazy structure..here is some info to consider on your power lunch.


it's spanish architect santiago calatrava and his buildings are out of this world..from athens to zurich and new york to bilbao - he builds the most amazing and dramatic structures..

take a look at what else he's done..

you know that he studied both civil engineering and architecture

I didn't know that..makes sense..a lot of his structures have functional moving parts (draw bridges, large gates, etc) so that's probably where the engineering comes in..
